Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

A visitor visa or temporary resident visa (TRV) is an official document which permits a foreign national to visit Canada. Usually there is a purpose of visit and it could be family visit, tourism, medical treatment, attending a conference or business meeting etc. Most travellers need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. TRV’s are permitted for maximum 10 years and it permits the foreign national to stay up to six months in a single visit, or otherwise for the time period mentioned by the CBSA or IRCC staff on airport or Port of Entry on the passport of foreign national.
