Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Some countries have visa exemption agreements with Canada; thus, their nationals can come to Canada without a visitor visa. But there is another document called Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) which those visitors need to have obtained before they can enter Canada. An eTA is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. An eTA is electronically linked to a traveller’s passport.
